The Insider’s Guide to SpaFinder Wellness Week

Great Jones Spa, Russian banya

The Russian banya at the Great Jones Spa is the real deal

If your self-care regimen currently consists of taking an Advil and a nap, it’s time to shake things up with a vinotherapy treatment, a Russian banya, or a healing crystal ritual. All at half-off or $50 during SpaFinder’s Wellness Week.

The twice yearly Wellness Week has become a way that New Yorkers get hip to new treatments. “Wellness Week inspires people to explore new forms of health and wellness,” says Susie Ellis, SpaFinder’s president and the creator of the week-long fitness and spa event.

Wellness Week kicks off March 21–27. Many of the city’s best spas and fitness studios will be slashing prices and offering special free local community classes.

In fact, Well+Good is hosting a free Wellness Week event March 24 at the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers! We’re also offering readers a chance to pre-book Wellness Week treatments before it opens to the public. Stay tuned for details TOMORROW! [Update: You can now book early here.]

Here we’ve rounded up some of our favorite participating spas, where you can get a fab deal on a new-found wellness experience.

Great Jones Spa
Spa adventure: The wet lounge, available before and after treatments (or as a treatment itself!), features an authentic Russian banya, a steamroom, and plunge pools of different temperatures.

The Sphatika Experience
Spa adventure: The Crystal Healing Ritual, which includes time in an infared sauna, lymphatic drainage massage, body wrap under a tabletop steam tent, and balancing crystals.

Caudalie at the Plaza
Spa adventure: The nourishing vinotherapy treatments use antioxidant rich grapeskins and seeds in facials and body treatments, echoing the Bordeaux flagship spa.

Thanks so much for the recommendation! My spouse and I got the Sphatika Experience this weekend – it was amazing. The personal sauna, the dry brushing and massage, and the facials which left both of us glowing and relaxed. And we even got a quartz crystal to take home!

Hooray for Well and Good for letting us know about it! We’re going back soon!

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a
blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos
