Physique 57′s new class for the fashionista’s mom

Physique 57

While most barre studios offer their one-and-only method, Physique 57 has become expert at slicing and dicing its signature style.

Last week, the popular tone-and-sculpt studio announced Fit For Life, a new class for women over 50 that will be its eleventh iteration of the original Physique 57 class. (Core Fusion is the barre-creativity runner-up, with five different versions.)

Fit For Life is a way to expand the clientele beyond the 20-something fashionistas who regularly frequent the studio. “My mom was the inspiration behind a 50-and-over class,” says Physique co-founder Tanya Becker. “After seeing her results from taking Physique classes, my mom’s friends wanted to try it, but were intimidated by the group classes.”

In Fit For Life, class size will shrink to 10 to allow for personal attention, the pace is slowed down, and it will be offered twice a week in a structured 4-week format, allowing participants to get to know and support one another.

We have to ask: Can a class for tweens be far behind?
