No power or water?

New York Sports Club announced today that it’s opening its doors free of charge to anyone who needs to shower, charge their cell phone, or blow off steam with a stress-relieving run on the treadmill. (We recommend all three.)

The clubs will be open to the public (local residents 18 and older with photo ID) from today, October 31, until November 14.

Use www.mysportsclubs.com to find a location near you, and here’s a list of the clubs that are currently open:

145th, 125th, 115th, 94th St., 80th St., 76th/B’way, 62nd/B’way, 73rd St., 49th/B’way(Crowne Plaza), 91st/3rd, 86th/Lex, 76th/1st, 59th/Park, 51st St., East 48th St., Grand Central, East 41st St., West 41st St., West 44th St.

    Not true. I just called NYSC Harlem location and they denied this service and never heard of it. 212.316.2500 is their number if you’d like to confirm. This is just a cheap fake publicity stunt and nobody calls them out on it.

    Wow, a wonderful contrast to Equinox. I tried to use my guest pass there and was told they would not honor it. They claimed they were at capacity and could only serve members.

    I hope you will post some for California as well. This is a great marketing move from New York Sports Club. This kind of stories should be more spread around the internet, it’s good when businesses pay back to their communities/customers.
