3 new fitness classes at Clay that will rock your world (and abs)

new fitness classes at clay gym new york

CLAY’s got all your programming passions covered this fall, with a rocking roster of innovative new fitness classes. We test-drove the new offerings at this boutique gym. Not only did we find awesomely inspiring teachers, we found classes we’re now addicted to.

What are these must-take 60-minute classes?

CLAY instructor Beth Lewis is serious about plank positions. (We weren’t quite as photogenic during her class…)

1. “Kick Your Abs”
Super spunky Beth Lewis, a Pilobolus dancer and yoga teacher, activates your core with martial-arts-style kicks, plus creative use of floor gliders and a medicine ball.
Why: Crazy effective, crazy fun!

2. “Barre Core”
Keisa Parish (an alum of Yogaworks’ barre program) challenges barre pros and engages newbies with targeted glute-and-thigh work at the barre, and weights for core and arms.
Why: Because who can resist the yoga, Pilates, Lotte Berk cocktail?

3. “EPOC Cardio”
This fast-paced interval class with Maria Berlinski will have you rotating stations for 2-minute drills that include using a weighted jump rope, doing dead lifts on a Bosu, and other full-body exercises.
Why: It was like an intimate version of Equinox’s popular Whipped class.

Schedule a visit to CLAY health club + spa today to test-drive their classes. If you join before November 30, 2012, you’ll pay no dues until January 2013. Learn more www.InsideClay.com
