My Five Beauty Obsessions: Rachel Roy
Roy, who’s known for outfitting the likes of Oprah to Helena Christensen in her chic, easy-to-wear looks and who just designed a line of jewelry with spiritual guru Deepak Chopra, has one of the most stunningly gorgeous complexions. The woman simply glows.
So, we asked the very fit-and-fashionable Roy to share with us her five beauty obsessions of the season.
1. Jo Malone Red Rose Spray ($60)
I’m obsessed with this rose spray. I love the fresh crisp scent. I spray it in the house and on sheets, as well. Scents leave a great impression, so my tip: indulge in a scent that you truly love and that represents you.
2. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square ($24) This lip crayon in Red Square is an instant game-changer. I like a strong bold look, and this hue of red brightens my face—as well as my outlook!
3. Juice Press (About $10.99 for a green juice)
Due to my hectic schedule, I can’t juice for myself every morning. The best alternative is picking up an organic one from Juice Press. I have more energy—I really feel it helps me on a cellular level, from the inside out.
4. Body Deli Lavender Oil ($22)
I love Body Deli products—they’re a great way to prevent premature aging by using raw, organic, food-based ingredients. Their lavender oil helps keep me calm and glowing.
5. Red Flower Japanese Peony Revitalizing Sea Salt Scrub ($36)
Founder Yael Alkalay turned her passion for sustainable living into a plant-powered beauty brand. I love the idea of celebrating life through the purity and freshness of flowers, and this Japanese Peony Scrub is to die for. They are also donating 20 percent of their proceeds to the Red Cross disaster relief fund in November. —Sharon Feiereisen
