Bari launches pop-up studios in Soho and Murray Hill

Bari Studio new pop-up locations in ManhattanBari Studio—the members-only, cardio-sculpting workout based in Tribeca—will open two pop-up studios in Manhattan on January 7.

At these new Soho and Murray Hill locations, non-members are welcome to slide on gliders and trampoline alongside regular members (AKA hip, fit moms). Classes are $35.

Unlike here-today, gone-tomorrow pop-ups, classes with founder Alexandra Perez and her “tribe” of instructors will run for the next 365 days.

“We’ll be at these spaces for one year (at least) until we find the right spaces to build out in those neighborhoods,” explains Perez, who’s clearly in expansion mode.

While Perez warns that her temporary studios have “reduced amenities” compared to the swish flagship on Leonard Street, they’re somewhat posh for a pop-up: each one has shower for post-workout washing up.

And Perez says she’s already fielding requests from her clients for a location on the Upper East Side, pop-up or permanent. —Melisse Gelula
