Fit and fabulous ways to ring in the New Year

1 / 2
Central Park NYE Run 2013If you’re over the cork-popping and ball-dropping that comes with a traditional New Year’s Eve (and the bloated, headache-filled day that follows), don’t worry: You can pop open a bottle of water and lift some free-weights instead. Yoga and fitness studios all over town are offering healthy alternatives to drunken New Year's revelry.

More good news: None of them comes close to costing what the Meatpacking clubs and city restaurants will want from your wallet. Here are some of the fabulous ways you can celebrate New Year's Eve on a healthy note, and, on the next page, special sweat sessions on New Year's Day.
