If there’s one thing that smart, healthy women are over, it’s the whole new-year-new-you hullabaloo. New Year’s resolutions tend to be so over-the-top (“I’ll never go on Facebook again!” or “I’m gonna get Michelle Obama arms in two weeks flat!”), they’re just a recipe for disappointment.

But there is value in hitting the restart button by honoring that awesome body of yours, which just rocked its way through another year.

Enter this invigorating sweet green blend, packed with alkalizing kale and spinach (which help regulate pH) and pineapple (which provides plenty of digestive enzymes and vitamin C…not to mention just the right amount of sweetness).

Spicy ginger warms the body and improves circulation, while spirulina helps zap winter blues, thanks to its mega-dose of mood-boosting chlorophyll. Throw in a dash of cleansing lemon, cucumber, and coconut water, and you’ve got a “here-I-come-2014″ smoothie that you can whip up in your NutriBullet, then tote with you as you go forth and conquer! —Jennifer Kass

The Sweet Green Cleanse Smoothie

2 to 3 kale leaves
1 handful spinach
1 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 lemon
1/2 cucumber
1 inch of fresh ginger
1 tsp spirulina
1 cup coconut water

Blend and enjoy!

I’m drinking this right now- delicious! The ginger and lemon are a great balance to the sweetness of the pinapple!

Delish! I add fresh mint & parsley instead of cucumber & top it with toasted coconut & buckwheat for post yoga nourishing hit!

Looks good! But I made it and would not call it sweet, that’s for sure!

Who long do you drink it for? Drink this and only this all day?
    Or how is it recommend?
