You may admire designer Rachel Roy’s dark, flowing locks solely for how effortlessly gorgeous they look, or you may have become familiar with her tresses after a certain Lemonade album brought attention to them. Either way, her hair secrets have just been revealed to Into The Gloss—so we can all be our own “Becky with the good hair.”

Rule number one? Only wash your hair once a week.

Roy also confesses she doesn’t get her hair dyed. “I only colored my hair once, and I regretted it. You really have to make a commitment to maintain it,” she says. Instead, she goes to Tracey Cunningham for a gloss, and occasionally gets oil treatments (in which oil is massaged into her scalp for 30 minutes—a heavenly way to battle dryness).

“It’s amazing because my scalp gets dry,” she says. “That’s why I only wash my hair about once a week. I’m a dry shampoo girl because of that.” Roy even makes a blowout last a whole week—pretty thrifty, to say the least.

Another good hair trick? Braids or a ponytail, done really high and tight, “because it gives your face a little lift,” says Roy.

Besides her hair’s wellness, the designer also cares about clean eating. For example, she ditched Emergen-C (which she used to drink everyday when traveling) because “it’s filled with things that don’t actually help your health.” Instead, she takes 8 Greens, which is an all-natural alternative.

Roy also finds time to squeeze in yoga. Pro tip: She adds it to her calendar as if it were a meeting. “It’s too good for your mental health to skip,” she says. Genius idea. Is it too late for “Becky with the good wellness routine” to catch on? (Sorry, had to).

Jennifer Aniston’s also a fan of having a sound mind through yoga. Her trainer reveals how she keeps more than just her body in shape. If you want to try yoga with a partner, here are 10 poses for a strong (and flexible) relationship.
