Action Plan: 5 fit and healthy ways to celebrate Halloween in NYC

monsterOpen up your calendar: With Action Plan, our editors cut through the crazy, huge assortment of goings-on in New York City to pick three amazing, healthy ways to spend your week, Saturday, October 24–Saturday, October 31.

This week’s special Halloween fitness edition (with two bonus events!) will keep you in good spirits all week long.

SUNDAY October 25–SATURDAY October 31
Head to Monster Cycle (where every day is spooky?) for Hell Yeah Week, featuring Halloween-themed rides, prizes for cycling in costume, and a “blood rave party” on Friday night.

FRIDAY October 30–SUNDAY November 1
Avoid the trick-or-treating crowds and head to the Catskills for the Heathen Hill Halloween Yoga Retreat (costumes optional) with popular yoga teacher Dina Ivas. Expect farm-to-table food, yoga classes with Halloween flair (downward devil dog?), and pumpkin carving.

FRIDAY October 30
Pair running shoes with your costume for a Saints + Sinners Halloween Fun Run with Runstreet, which includes a 5K followed by vegan snacks.

FRIDAY October 30
Top trainer Robin Arzon leads a Halloween Ball Ride at Peloton, with costumes recommended, Halloween-inspired music mash-ups, and a an after-party with DJ, cocktails, and other festivities.

SATURDAY October 31
Get strong and stretchy in a special Halloween Dogpound-meets-Modo Yoga class followed by a party with parade-gazing (the studio has a great view) and dancing.
