1. Well+Good Operations Manager

Well+Good, the media company obsessed with your health and wellness, has an opening for an Operations Manager to join our growing team.

In this position you will work closely with Well+Good’s founders, the sales team, and all parts of the organization to execute Well+Good’s advertising and marketing campaigns and support day-to-day business operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to join a fast-paced digital media company.

We’re looking for someone who has a minimum of 2+ years of experience in ad trafficking and/or digital media planning. The candidate should be a self-starter who understands the online advertising industry.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Implement advertising campaigns (schedule media, acquire ad collateral, write advertorial copy, create previews and receipts of ad placements, obtain client and internal approvals)
+ Monitor advertising campaigns for delivery and performance
+ Analyze campaign performance statistics, create reports, and recommend optimized media solutions from the results
+ Troubleshoot campaign issues including errors in serving, third-party discrepancies, pacing, and reporting
+ Work with sales team on media plans, inventory allocations, and pre-sales efforts
+ Manage subscription activity and web metrics for presentation to editorial and sales teams
+ Assist with sponsored events, sweepstakes, custom advertorial features and other special projects
+ Track invoicing and payment process

Desired Skills and Qualifications

+ Detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
+ Highly motivated, self-starter who is able to think creatively and problem-solve independently
+ Positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working in a start-up environment and wearing multiple hats as needed
+ Great communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
+ Knowledge of the digital advertising space
+ Minimum 2+ years in ad trafficking and/or digital media planning
+ A pro with computers (Mac experience preferred), including word processing (Google Docs and/or Word), spreadsheets (Google Docs and/or Excel) and general Internet savvy
+ Familiarity with third-party ad servers (e.g., DFP)
+ Experience with QuickBooks, Google Analytics, MailChimp, WordPress a plus
+ A context for healthy living and the wellness scene is ideal (you speak Barry’s Bootcamp, Flywheel, and Juice Press)

2. Well+Good Associate Editor

Well+Good, the media company obsessed with your health and wellness, has an opening for an Associate Editor to join our growing team.

In this position you will work closely with Well+Good’s founders and the entire team to create compelling, forward-thinking content that our wellness-savvy readers across the country will love. We’re talking fitness trends, nutrition advice, healthy food, fitness fashion, inner life, and natural beauty.

This is an ideal opportunity for a journalist with 3-plus years of experience, who’s passionate about reporting on the wellness lifestyle in a way that’s cool, compelling, and super smart.

Primary Responsibilities:

+Be aware of trends, news, and PR pitches that have national relevance on a daily basis and work closely with senior editors to determine newsworthy topics
+Write and report approximately 10–15 pieces thoroughly and quickly per week, in the Well+Good tone/voice
+Write native content, advertiser partner copy, and Dedicated emails
+Perform photo research for and production on articles
+Manage the production of 3x week subscriber newsletters
+Write headlines for email newsletters
+Attend and administer Well+Good reader events in New York City and elsewhere
+Create and maintain relationships with industry sources and experts
+Create and manage content for special projects, reader events, Healthy City Guides, etc.
+Write and consumer-facing materials such as social media as needed
+Attend relevant press and industry events

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

+Minimum 3+ years experience as a writer/editor at a fast-paced journalistic website or publication
+A context and a passion for healthy living and the wellness scene is ideal (you speak Barry’s Bootcamp, Flywheel, and Juice Press)
+Experience working directly with high-profile advertisers and/or interview subjects
+You produce quality content quickly, and with wit and sophistication
+Familiarity with WordPress, photo selection, and SEO keywords
+Incredibly diligent and self-motivated and wants to contribute
Accurate, thorough, incredibly organized, and detail-obsessed
Stickler for deadlines: Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams and projects—an ace at prioritization
Strong communication/interpersonal skills—written and verbal
Mac experience preferred, as well as knowledge of WordPress or other CMS, Google Analytics, SEO tools, MailChimp or similar email program, Google Docs, Excel, and general Internet savvy
Photoshop and Adobe Suite experience a plus (not required)
