Soulcycle and Public School’s New Collab Is All Kinds of Cool

SoulCycle's been on top of their fit fashion game ever since launching their own collection way back in 2013 with those signature skulls and wheels. Since then, the brand has embarked on several chic ventures, partnering with retailers like Target and ShopBop, as well as designers like Ramy Brook. For their latest sartorial adventure, SoulCycle collaborated with Public School, an of-the-moment—if a bit subversively cool AF—label of ready-to-wear items. Perhaps it runs in Public School's DNA: The brand had another workout-world line last year with Fitbit.

However, for the SoulCycle collection, which officially drops today, Public School created a seven-piece capsule of athleticwear and athleisure pieces for the unofficial spin gods.

Featuring pieces that stay true to both the Public School aesthetic (which is yes, inspired by NYC school uniforms) as well as the cycling giant's badass style, the collection is on the pricey side—items range from a $65 fitted baseball hat to $655 for a crazy-cool silver bomber backet—but so, so good. The capsule, which includes a badass crop bra that I'm already putting in my cart, a dual-zip hoodie, and a cropped windbreaker, is available today on SoulCycle's website.

It was Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, the designers behind Public School, who approached SoulCycle about creating the collection, as the duo were intrigued by the entire boutique fitness scene. (I mean, how could you not, right?!)

"Two of our good friends are avid SoulCyclers, and about six months ago, sold us on the idea of taking a class—and then we were hooked," says Osborne. Keeping the average clientele in mind—busy, female professionals—Chow and Osborne wanted to create pieces that could take a woman through her whole day: before, during, or after a 45-minute ride. A real studio-to-street approach, if you will.

Go on, keep on treating yourself: Grab a pair of one of these chic black leggings that are all under $50 or one of these super-cozy sweaters to keep you warm all winter long.
