The One Thing the World’s Oldest Yogi Does Every a.M. To Guarantee a Great Day
After teaching an early-morning class in New York City, the world's oldest yogi shared her simple tip for making the most of each day: "Every morning I tell myself, 'Today's going to be the best day of your life.'"
She explains that it's a way to express gratitude for the upcoming 24 hours, remind yourself to live in the moment, and make the most of whatever comes your way. (Considering the 98-year-old powerhouse does this 365 days a year, it sounds like she's on to something...)
"Every morning I tell myself, 'Today's going to be the best day of your life.'"
As someone who doesn't think of age as a number—she swears she didn't even realize she was "old" until people started helping her everywhere—this has inspired her to not only live out loud, but continue to teach yoga classes daily.

And as the latest face of Athleta's Power of She campaign, Porchon-Lynch understands the powers of positive thinking—and dressing. When explaining that part of her energy comes from always adding a little flair in her yoga outfit, she says her (seriously reasonable) reason for her colorful get-up: "People might think it's flashy, but a garden full of colorful flowers isn't flashy—it's beautiful." Can't argue with that!
