#BPOTD: This Shampoo Delivers Air Dried Waves Even Better Than a Salt Spray
Beauty editors have no shortage of skin-care and makeup goodies that come across our desks. So when we become obsessed with something, it says a lot. In our “Beauty Product of the Day” series (#BPOTD, for short), we wax poetic about the items that are truly game changers for hair, skin, and nails.
When a hair product is conducive to my uber-lazy styling tendencies (read: I do nothing except wash), I'm a fan. Often, I have to find that air-dry assist from a styling product post-shower, not necessarily a shampoo or conditioner. But the luxe hair brand that's usually displayed in a rainbow formation at hair salons has just released a non-toxic line that's *literally* meant for air drying your strands (cue my heart eyes). Meet Kérastase's Aura Botanica line, which has the shampoo of my dreams.
It's the Baine Micellaire shampoo ($33), and it's essentially like micellar water (French girls' facial cleanser of choice) for your hair. The micelles—bits of oil molecules suspended in water—have a hydrophilic tail and a hydrophobic tail, which work in tandem to capture gunk coating your strands and rinse it away without leaving a residue. On top of that, the formula also has coconut and Moroccan argan oils that nourish lengths to make your hair day even better.

When I lather it in—it's a great lather, BTW—I smell the sweet orange essential oil, which is really uplifting in the groggy a.m. Shortly after toweling off, my hair dries (naturally, no blow dryer necessary) looking volumized and fab. So, good news: You (and I) don't have to style your hair ever again (score).
While you're shopping, you should also check out this vitamin C eye serum from Drunk Elephant. Oh, and this $3 lip mask by Burt's Bees.
