Starbucks Just Added Sushi Burritos to Its Menu—but Are They Healthy?
Sushi burritos started going viral last year, and now Starbucks is launching its own take on the Instagram-baiting dish. The chicken maki roll is packed with slow-cooked, shredded chicken, fire-roasted tomatillo salsa, lime crema, fresh cucumber, pickled cabbage, onions, avocado, and crispy onion, all wrapped up in a crisp nori sheet.
But how does the sushi burrito compare to the coffee company's other healthy offerings?
It's a bit healthier than a chicken-packed burrito from Chipotle.
Part of Starbucks' Mercato lunch menu—which the brand reports is prepared daily with fresh ingredients—the chicken maki roll contains 380 calories, 9 grams of fat, and 750 milligrams of sodium. FYI that's a bit healthier than the chicken-packed burrito from Chipotle, according to the fast-food chain's nutrition calculator.

Starbucks' sushi burrito is only available right now at two locations in Chicago (sigh), but if you live outside the Windy City, you can still get some healthy grab-and-go nutrients with your venti-whatever: The brand's avocado spread and almond milk are now everywhere.
Here's how to satisfy your sweet tooth at Starbucks with minimal sugar. And if you need a healthy pick-me-up, try the brand's immune-boosting smoothie from its secret menu.
