Lisa Elaine Held has a master’s degree in Magazine Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northeastern University. Her expertise is in telling stories that show how food production and consumption impact public health, social justice, and the environment, and her work has appeared in numerous publications including Civil Eats, Eater, NPR’s The Salt, The New York Times, Edible Manhattan/Brooklyn, Heated, and Conde Nast Traveller.
