The 3 Key Pieces to Pulling Off Streetwear Like Bella Hadid
A lot of Hadid's wardrobe influence comes from her stylist Elizabeth Sulcer. “I love activewear and think it works perfectly in street-style looks,” she says. “So many of my clients are into the idea because [it's comfortable], while allowing them to incorporate high-fashion [elements]."
Not to mention the mileage you’ll get out of pieces that are able to pull double duty. It's why the stylist predicts the trend "won't be going away anytime soon." (Phew!) Here are three pieces, in particular, that Sulcer's in to right now. Plus, how she'd style them on the buzzy supermodel.
Cropped T-shirt or sweatshirt: “I love a monochrome cropped tee [or sweatshirt] with oversized sweatpants, a really cool high-top sneaker, paired with a [designer] day bag and oversized sunglasses,” Sulcer says.
Our pick: Nike Top Po Versa GRX, $65
Track pants: “I’m really in to a turtleneck or an off-the-shoulder bodysuit, paired with oversized track pants,” reveals the stylist. “It creates a look with a sexy, menswear, street vibe.”
Our pick: Adidas Superstar Track Pants, $65
Active kicks: “I love all different types of sneakers,” Sulcer says. Same goes for Hadid—the model’s go-to styles include Nike Cortez (duh) and Air Force Ones, plus treads from more under-the-radar brands like Filling Pieces.
Our pick: Vetements x Reebok high top sock trainers, $420
