Blake Lively Is Keeping It *so* Real About Postpartum Fitness
In a recent Instagram post, Lively opened up about getting back into shape with the help of her longtime trainer Don Saladino. Instead of just pretending it was a quick and easy process, like so many women in Hollywood do, she was super honest, letting her fans know it took her over a year to start feeling strong again after having her second daughter, Ines. And that's totally normal.
"Turns out you can’t lose the 61 pounds you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through Instragram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models. Thanks, Don Saladino, for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud." —Blake Lively

After having her first daughter, James, Lively was on a strict diet of no gluten, soy, or processed foods to prepare for her role in the movie The Shallows. So, she ate four small meals a day that included plenty of protein, carbs, and veggies—and of course some sugar here and there, because #moderation.
Thanks to eating a healthy diet and working out (take a look at her exact routine!), this mom is reached her personal goals. And, she didn't rush through it: Instead of feeling like she had to bounce back in six weeks like so many celebs—who probably aren't doing things the healthiest things to get there—she's letting other moms know it's okay to enjoy the process. The whole motherhood thing does involve bringing a brand new little person into the world, after all.
This is one thing Blake Lively thinks every new parent should do. Also, these celeb-tested workouts will get you super-sweaty this year.
