Breaking: Bandier Is Going International for the First Time Ever
For its first brick-and-mortar store outside the US, Bandier is partnering with Holt Renfrew (pretty much the Canadian equivalent of Saks) to open a shop inside the retailer's Bloor Street location.
Bandier Bloor Street will offer a selection of activewear, footwear, accessories, and gift items in the shop, according to a release. The boutique opens today and will be around for four months, during which time the ultra-chic fitness brand will be able to strategize around its growing Canadian market.
"We have always viewed Bandier as a global brand."
"We have always viewed Bandier as a global brand," CEO and founder Jennifer Bandier said. "We hope to engage with #bandiergirls all over the world and to create a global community of women who prioritize health and wellness."
International expansion is not even at the top of Bandier's to-do list, either. The #bossbabe said she is focused on opening more US locations in 2018, including a flagship store in Los Angeles. But the global boom of the active lifestyle space means that Bandier has ample reason to keep opening stores outside the US.
"We always said that Bandier would be successful wherever there was a thriving fitness community, and now there are so many more location options for us to consider."
"You can now find cold-pressed juice bars and Pilates classes in almost every city globally," Bandier said. "We always said that Bandier would be successful wherever there was a thriving fitness community, and now there are so many more location options for us to consider and places where we want to have a presence."
