The free-flow of rosé and eggs Benedict sounds like all fun and games—until that hangover, or that nap that winds up being way too long. And it's the energy-sapping power of day drinking that got Chrissy Teigen rethinking her alcohol intake.
"People think it's cutesy and fun to go on these boozy brunches, but there's more to it."
"People think it's cutesy and fun to go on these boozy brunches, but there's more to it," she says in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan. "I've never once been like, 'I'm sure glad I had that boozy brunch!'"
The model and (hilarious) television personality opened up about her struggle with alcohol, admitting that it's hard to not say yes to the constant flow of cocktails she's offered as a celeb at events.
"I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected," says Teigen. Girl, you're not alone on that one.
During a recent family vacay to Bali, she decided to skip drinking—and she's never felt better. "I would wake up feeling amazing," says Teigen. "My skin felt amazing. I was just so happy." Kudos to her for getting real about her personal struggle—and for having the willpower to turn down those unlimited drink specials (they are always a bad idea anyway TBH).
