The Products Chillhouse’s Cyndi Ramirez Reaches for on Long-Haul Flights
You know those skin-care and beauty products that you use until the very last drop? The ones that you’ve spent entire brunches/text threads/email chains, telling your friends about? They’re the best of the best…so amazing that you’d never risk putting them in a piece of checked luggage. At Well+Good, we call those our Beauty VIPs (you know, Very Important Products). In this series, we ask women in wellness and the public eye what beauty products they use every single day and why—with an entire Internet of options to choose from—these items stand out.
Taste The Style founder and Chillhouse nail salon/hip-and-healthy cafe owner Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton is one of those people who just exuberates cool-girl vibes. Despite having tons of ventures up in the air at any given moment (oh yeah, Girlboss Sophia Amoruso is currently helping her raise a second round of funding for Chillhouse), you'll never see Ramirez-Fulton frazzled; on the contrary, she'll look outright chic and poised for world domination.
From tousled hair and dewy skin to always-on-point nails (a perk to owning a salon staffed with nail art pros), Ramirez-Fulton has nailed effortless glam. But she's not without the help of a few secret weapons. While some women dab on a bit of moisturizer and fly out the door, Ramirez-Fulton relishes in her beauty routine, respecting the ritual of getting ready and viewing the products that she uses as everyday luxuries to help her feel amazing. Here, the ones that (after much experimentation) she can't get enough of.

1. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, $5
"Before I go to sleep, I always wipe the makeup off my face using the Neutrogena face wipes," she says. "I do the same when I wake up, and sometimes I'll even follow this with another cleanser."
2. Tata Harper's Age-Defying Serum, $98
"Immediately following my morning, cleanse, I’ve been layering on Tata Harper’s age-defining serum," Ramirez-Fulton tells me. "Her products are so good and they make my skin feel great!"
3. Fresh Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream, $41
"I’ve been using this eye cream, and I've already seen my little lines under my eyes disappear in the past few weeks—it's just crazy!" she says. "I had two weeks in the past month where I felt really haggard. Then, I started using a couple products that I had never used before, and I saw the immediate effects."
4. M.A.C Liquid Foundation, $38
"I'm loyal to M.A.C liquid foundation for my face," Ramirez-Fulton tells me. "I use a brush to apply it. It has a long metal handle and really, really soft bristles. I’ve always been a sponge girl, but I wanted to give this a try. The bristles are really good for stimulating your circulation. It's like getting a facial."
5. Bumble and Bumble Daytime Protective Repair Fluid, $25
"I really try to do my hair as little as possible. I use a microfiber hair towel called Aquis, which cuts the amount of time it takes your hair to dry in half,” she says. “Then, first thing, I’ll put on the Bumble and Bumble’s Repair, Save The Day, followed by an oil and some texture spray.”
6. Caudalie Beauty Elixir, $18
"I carry this face mist with me literally every day," she says. "You just spray it on whenever you feel the need to. I have the travel-sized version, and I bring it with me on planes. It saves my life, because I always feel so dehydrated in the air."
Speaking of beauty must-haves, these are the cult-favorites trending right now. Plus, eight products that help protect against city pollution.
