The One Wellness Trend Emma Watson Can’t Get Enough Of
Emma Watson is good at a lot of things: doling out advice, dominating the feminist game, and dressing stylishly with an attention to eco-friendly fashion—not to mention her day job, acting.
But, in a recent interview with Elle UK, Watson admits to one of her favorite pastimes: nesting. (Same! Staying in is the new going out, after all.)
And although she's taken the past year "off" from work, she's still served as a United Nations ambassador, guest-edited Esquire along with Tom Hanks, met with Canadian Prime Minister (and part-time yogi) Justin Trudeau, and launched her own worldwide book club.
"I'm the kind of person who needs 24 hours where I don't see another living thing."
So to handle her insanely busy sabbatical, the Beauty and the Beast actress has become, in her words, "a fanatical nester"—explaining she's "the kind of person who needs 24 hours where I don't see another living thing."
And while it's hard to know whether she's sipping on matcha or Earl Grey when she's cuddled up under the duvet—she is British after all—she certainly knows how to stay productive in her solitude, promoting her favorite inspirational books, from feminist picks like The Color Purple and Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis to more practical reads like Arianna Huffington's The Sleep Revolution: "I am a sucker for anything that promises to change my life."
