Thanks to Mercury, Mars, and Pluto, You Can Expect an Independent and Creative Week
The full moon is Aries at 20 degrees on the 13th, which brings our attention to Mars, the ruling planet of Aries. With both Mars and Aries having a me-first agenda, they ask us to listen to our instincts and prioritize our individual wants and needs. This means you'd be wise to try and not cling too tightly to others during this time. Give the people in your life and yourself room and space to breathe. It’s nothing personal—it’s primal, cosmic even, to need this.
With Mars currently traveling at 6 degrees of Libra, the sign of balance, while making an inconjunct to Uranus in Taurus, this full moon asks you to break free from codependent ties. Even more so since Venus, the planet of love, also opposes Uranus. Instead of sourcing your sense of identity through the reflection of others (which is an oh-so Libra thing to do), put your hand on your heart and honor how hard you’ve worked to be exactly where you are right now. You are thriving. Stay compassionate and positive because everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

Need even more help? Do mirror work by standing in front of the mirror and reciting affirmations. The classic “I love and accept myself” is always a great place to start for tuning in to your intuition and seeing what she’s asking you to acknowledge. Paying attention to what activates your drive, action, and sense of determination supports you to move along at this precious moment of your life.

With Pluto squaring the sun and the moon, the cosmos push you to make peace with your power. Own it with the help of Jupiter, the planet of good luck, good fortune, and abundance. Jupiter now offers a perfect trine (manifestation angle) to the moon along with a sextile to the sun, further cementing in the support.
Mercury trine Neptune is a great reason to flex your creative muscles
Come Monday, Pluto’s square to the sun becomes even more intense. As best as you can, let yourself rest because Pluto’s influence can feel draining (as can the effects of that full-moon hangover). But regardless of whether or not you max out in relaxation mode, there is some other potentially good news percolating in the cosmos: Mercury, the planet of communication, who travels in Scorpio, makes a perfect sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. The combination of Mercury in a water sign making a sextile to Saturn in an Earth sign provides fertile soil (earth and water create mud) to plant new seeds of creativity. This combination sows the seeds of magic.
On Tuesday, Mercury continues to make power moves. This time, the messenger of the sky makes a life-giving trine to Neptune, the planet of dreams. The Mercury trine Neptune provides a slam-dunk for creative pursuits. If you have any reason to take pictures, do so today. Beyond that, though, the cosmos simply ask you to take time to nourish your spiritual practice. Mediation, cosmic spells, moon water, crystals—any or all of it may help you unleash your potential. Align your mind with what you most desire to create in your life.
For the remainder of the week, Mercury continues to make a helpful trine to Pluto, meaning your desires have power now. With Mercury going retrograde soon, you want to use this week to make the asks you need to ask. (Mercury travels retrograde from October 31 through November 20.)
Beyond Mercury making some clutch cosmic connections this week, Venus, also in Scorpio, also follows suit. She trines the north node of Fate on October 18, helping you align your vision and values with your highest destiny. Then, come Sunday, October 20, she perfects her sextile to Saturn, all the while trining Neptune. In plainer English? The end of the week asks you to unlock your magic.
So if you had access to all the magic in the world, what would you create? Tap into your desires, knowing that anything is possible for you to achieve, especially if you are willing to do two things: 1. Put in the work, and 2. Work with the cycles of the planets to make your dreams a reality. Remember, success isn’t a race, it’s a rhythm. Leaning into the cyclical nature of things helps to massively propel you forward.
