On June 21, the sun leaves Gemini and enters into Cancer. This transit officially kicks off summer and heralds the longest day of the year. Yes! With Cancer season finally here now’s the time to enjoy the sunlight. Spending time in nature helps to connect you to the seasonal rhythms. Walk barefoot in the grass, go the beach, get some sun, and enjoy nature therapy.

The solstice remains one of the most special times of year to connect with the fertility abundance of your life.

From a personal development perspective, now’s the time to set goals for what you wish to accomplish for the rest of the year. We are officially at the halfway mark of 2019. Review your progress to date. Are you on track with your desires? What needs to shift or change so you feel more aligned? What do you most want to accomplish between now and the end of the year? Don’t miss this sacred and holy time to commit.

But first: a (super intense) full moon

The week begins with a powerful full moon. Perfecting at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, the Sagittarius full moon highlights one of the most provocative astrological aspects of the year: the Jupiter-Neptune square. This is the second time of the year that these two titans of the sky form a perfect square. With both planets operating from places of strength—Jupiter is in its sign of dignity, Sagittarius, and Neptune is also in dignity too, in Pisces—this cosmic clash has the potential to produce big emotions.

The Sagittarius full moon highlights one of the most provocative astrological aspects of the year: the Jupiter-Neptune square. This cosmic clash has the potential to produce big emotions.

Because of this, you want to stay conscientious and cautious about your commitments. This is not the time to wear rose-colored glasses, but rather embrace the realistic assessments of facts. Evaluate opportunity through the lens of scrutiny. Check in with yourself. And, by all means, stay true to your spiritual practice. To support this, tune into the power of Mercury and Mars conjoined in Cancer, forming a trine to spiritual Neptune.

Meanwhile, Saturn sextiles Neptune too. These combinations help you to hear and know your truth. So listen to the voice within and commit to what it’s telling you. With the full moon in Sagittarius, the focus remains on finding freedom within. While it’s easy to mistake freedom as the opposite of commitment, remember, true freedom stems from keeping your promises to yourself. Take a vow to yourself and promise to honor your values. Doing so leads to liberation.

By Monday night, the moon will have moved into Capricorn, providing you the perfect atmosphere to evaluate your life, and your choices, helping you to surrender what no longer aligns.

As the week moves on, Mars and Mercury in Cancer provoke emotions even more, especially as they perfect their opposition to Pluto on Wednesday. Hold on tight. Things could feel wildly intense. Thankfully Mars and Mercury continue to trine Neptune, while Saturn sextiles Neptune, as these transits help to soften the blow. Nonetheless, you want to get grounded, go slow, take your vitamins (especially magnesium) and support your nervous system, as the cosmic intensity can ruffle feathers this week (if you let it). Self-care has a prophylactic impact. Do not skip it.

Mars and Mercury simultaneously square (aka clash) with Eris, the dwarf planet of feminine discord. This combination amplifies emotional intensity, helping you to locate and name your sacred "no." Do not be afraid to hold boundaries with others or ask for what you need. Doing so is precisely what the week calls for.
