2019 Is the Year of the Homebody—and We’re so Here for It
Call it the JOMO effect—but what ups the ante from a standard night on the couch to a true moment to recharge your batteries is the little touches. Like, for example, the clean-home essentials from Caldrea, which transform your living room (or kitchen, or bathroom) into a fragrant oasis you might never want to leave again.
On that note—and a decidedly festive one, as well—we hosted a cozy evening of manis, make-your-own flower bouquets, and gift wrapping at New York City's tenoverten salon celebrating the power of scent and serious relaxation. For a play-by-play on how to recreate the magic (and some last-minute gifting ideas, to boot), take a peek inside.

The nail polish wall of our dreams is real and lives at tenoverten in the Financial District—complete with Caldrea's soaps, room sprays, and candles to match. (And yes, this is total vanity/bathroom/everything inspo for organizing your own home.) Guests were greeted by this cheery sight before heading into a room full of plush chairs and magical aromas.
As attendees filtered in, they sipped on pink grapefruit sparkling wine with pomelo to really engage all the senses. Add this to your at-home menu for hosting girls' night.
While waiting for their manicure time slot, readers hit up the DIY flower bouquet station. What better way to liven up your space at home than adding some life?
Each guest picked out two Caldrea products to have gift-wrapped by a pro—the Ginger Pomelo Hand Soap was the rockstar of home essentials, in case you were wondering. And what's a better gift than something you know she'll actually use? (If you're doing a bit of self-shopping, here's how to find the right scent for you, btw.)
Our glam guests picked out any color and brand polish they wanted and were treated to quickie manis—which also happens to be the perfect at-home activity for a Friday night.
A few Instagrams may have been posted after the taking of this photo, because what better way is there to admire (and show off) the finished product, right?
The Stripe founder Grace Atwood stopped by to mingle with guests and snagged a few products to gift (and for herself, too). She's hosting her family for the holidays at her Brooklyn apartment this year, and is totally set for all the smell-good compliments to come.
Also in attendance? Lifestyle blogger (and new mom!) Lisa DiCicco Cahue. Her fave Caldrea must-have was the Caldrea Pear Blossom Agave candle—as in, she couldn't stop talking about it. Hint: Add to cart for your own personal haven, stat.
