Full-Moon Fever? This Month, It’s More Like Full-Moon Focus—Here’s Why
It's one of those big lunar weeks—and rockstar astrologer Jennifer Racioppi is here to give you the celestial weather report, AKA the cosmic conditions affecting everyone, no matter what your sun sign is. Below are her day-by-day predictions (with a wellness twist!)—including her best advice for your daily food, fitness, and self-care habits.
Monday, May 28
The moon is waxing to full tonight (even though the full moon isn't until 10:19 a.m. Eastern tomorrow, you can still reap benefits tonight). So nurture your big-picture vision. The full moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius, after all. Sagittarius encourages growth and unbridled devotion to desire. On the flip side, with the moon approaching full in big-or-go-home Sagittarius, watch out for food cravings and going over the top with indulgences. Stay particularly aware of excess alcohol intake too—as you could find yourself waking up with a little hangover from the holiday weekend.
The full moon occurs at 8 degrees of Sagittarius and opposes the sun in Gemini. Meanwhile, the Gemini sun forms an awkward angle known as an inconjunct to Saturn, the disciplinarian of the zodiac. An inconjunct asks you to eliminate something that’s not supporting you, so stay keenly aware of what you need to let go of this full moon. Meanwhile, Mars in Aquarius offers support to both the moon and sun, providing motivation and inspiration. Further, with a water grand trine brewing in the sky, miracles become possible. Venus in Cancer trines both Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, illuminating dreams! These aspects perfect later in the week. Keep reading to learn more.

With the full moon in Sagittarius climaxing this morning, schedule an a.m. workout. Sagittarius, the sign of the archer, amplifies athleticism, suggesting you might want to challenge your boundaries at the gym, in your fitness class, or via a digital exercise program. Now’s not the time to hold back on your fitness goals. Instead, lean into the lunar mojo to detox the holiday weekend indulgences via your sweat. Same advice as yesterday applies today when it comes to the consumption of alcohol and food—stay mindful and watch out for crazy food cravings. Resist overindulging in foods that lead to feeling bloated. Stay focused on your intended outcomes and desired manifestations instead.
Wednesday, May 30
Now that Mercury has entered his home domain of Gemini (Mercury rules Gemini), it forms a supportive angle with Chiron, who travels the earliest degrees of Aries, known as a sextile. Chiron represents deep healing, and given this favorable aspect to Mercury, today offers strong healing vibes. Should old pain or worries call your attention, see what you can do to shift the story. Is there another way you can view the issue? If changing your perception doesn’t seem possible, try to probe the pain even more. Ask yourself tough questions and see if you can decipher the cause of the pain and/or the best way to support yourself as you heal. Remember, you don’t have to go it alone, either. Today the cosmos might guide you to the right one (should you be looking) or support you to find incredible insight, should you already be in therapy or a relationship with a healer.

As the first weekend of June quickly approaches, now’s the time to make some plans. While the upcoming weekend has romance written all over it (seriously, some beautiful vibes are coming your way this weekend), it also offers an incredible opportunity for non-romantic fun, too. You may want to consider a girls trip with your besties, possibly even an adventure to a music festival. Open up your mind and consider enriching ways to spend your time that are out of the box. Then, as the month comes to a close, take some time to review all that you’ve accomplished over the last few weeks. With summer solstice just three weeks ahead, lean into the exaltation of what lies ahead while holding a gracious and grateful heart about what’s already come to fruition.
Friday, June 1
The week closes out with superlative astrological aspects; good luck Jupiter in Scorpio trining Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces at the same time. This good-fortune trifecta creates a healing and nourishing grand trine in water. This is a sensitive, sweet, and seductive setup—allow it to draw forth intuitive knowing as well as emotional intelligence. If you find yourself out with friends, connect deeply by asking open-ended questions and really listening to the replies. Limit time on cellphones snapping selfies and sending texts and instead nourish deep and meaningful conversations. Out on a date? The same suggestions apply. If exploring intimacy with either yourself or your partner, let the health benefits of orgasm linger. Allow oxytocin blasts derived from sensual pleasure to help to settle your nerves as you relax into the weekend.
Saturday, June 2
With loving Venus in Cancer making a perfect trine to Neptune in Pisces, the power of visualization goes a long way today. Spend time daydreaming. Should time and space exist, consider making an aspirational vision board. Be sure to include the fine-tune details. Not into visualizing this weekend? No problem. With romance in the air, now’s the time to seduce desire in other ways; think zinc-rich raw oysters and sparkling rose. Turning up the tunes and settling into music that soothes your soul bodes well, too. On the challenging end, Mercury forms a challenging angle to Saturn known as an inconjunct; this asks you to let go of what you no longer need as you reach out for something new. That said, the good outweighs the bad. Stay positive and lean into what's possible; because it's a lot! (Especially now.)
Sunday, June 3
Allow yourself to reach for new ideas and vacation aspirations tonight. With the days growing longer in the Northern Hemisphere and the excitement of summer ahead, make sure you have time off planned. Often ignored (especially in the US, where vacation time tends to stay underutilized), taking a proper vacation offers incredible anti-aging health benefits. Don’t underestimate the power of a beachside week, time in the mountains, or exploring a city you’ve never visited before. New experiences nurture our brains, and time away from computers and cubicles inspires new perspectives. Aside from real stress relief, vacations support emotional, mental and physical well-being too.
