With the moon waning back to new this week, and traveling through evolutionary and progressive Aquarius for the next two and a half days, consider shedding that which you no longer need—especially if it means pleasing others at the expense of your truth. In addition to the moon waning in the sign of revolution, Venus, the planet that represents your values, squares the north node of fate and destiny today. This combination suggests bargaining for the acceptance of others disrupts your power. Say yes to you, and let the guilt go. Remember, everyone who loves you wants the real you anyway. Embrace your uniqueness. Stand up for your true values.

The waning moon in righteous Aquarius bodes well for group fitness. So get out there and try a class you’ve been meaning to take. I am not talking about going for the same old, same old. Do something different and shake up your routine. How about that eclectic new dance class or the teacher you usually resist. If you always lean toward a sweat-your-ass-off tough workout, think about taking something slower that allows you the ability to stretch. Do you always choose something soft and yin? Go for something that pushes you out of your comfort zone and gets your heart rate up. And for those of you who haven’t made it to a class in ages, make time for yourself today and go! You may find being with others highly invigorating, and precisely what you need.

Feminine Venus makes a perfect angle to Mars, the planet of action, offering a blend of grounded support. At the same time, Pluto makes a harsh angle to the sun asking you to drop the pretenses, and get in touch with your shadow. Shadow tendencies entail the parts of oneself that are often denied (and maybe even projected onto others). So if you find yourself harshly criticizing others today, consider this: What do I see in them, that I am afraid is true about me? Triggers often represent disowned aspects of self that still need acceptance. Ask yourself how you might embody the very thing you dislike about someone else. Honesty is the first step in change. Self-acceptance and self-love go a long way now.

The waning Pisces moon invites you to listen to and follow the subtle voices within. With the new moon in Aries right around the corner on the 15th, the next few days represent the final portion of the lunar cycle. What have you learned since the new moon in Pisces on the 17th of last month? What has come to pass since then? What hasn’t? What obstacles or setbacks did you face? Reread your new moon intention and evaluate how you changed since you wrote it, and consider how you want to get reorganized for this next new moon. With the Venus in Taurus making a beautiful sextile (or angle of support) to Neptune in Pisces, you can access your dreams in a way that supports the manifestation of your desires.

Let your hair down and have some fun. With Mars in Capricorn in a nice angle of support to Neptune in Pisces while Jupiter throws a golden beam of support to Pluto this waning Pisces moon may feel more gentle than the reputation of this day, Friday the 13th, generally suggests. As the week winds down so does the lunar cycle, indicating now is a beautiful time for gentle self-care,! Luxuriate. A candlelit, sea salt, bath supports your nervous system, as does a gentle stretch session before bed. Opting for an alcoholic beverage? Choose a delicious glass of wine full of antioxidants and resveratrol, like a medium-bodied pinot noir.
Saturday, April 14
With the moon waning dark, emotions might feel tender and raw. Thankfully, though, yesterday’s positive attributes perfect today; Jupiter and Pluto as well as Mars and Neptune, all align with support. Pace yourself nonetheless, and take time to review the current lunar cycle. Not only does the new moon in Aries occur tomorrow (the first new moon since the equinox, making this the first new moon of the astrological new year), but Mercury finally stations direct, too! Holler. In another week's time, the planet of communication will be back to normal speed, but there's only one day left where he's genuinely retrograde.
Sunday, April 15
The new moon in Aries aligns at 26 degrees in the sign of the Ram at 9:57 pm ET. At the same time, the sun and moon meet up with Uranus, the planet of revolution and change while making a sharp (and tough) angle to Pluto. Expect this high energy combination to fuel your courage to bust through blocks, and embrace new aspects of personal power as you move in the direction of your dreams. While this new moon hardly provides cosmic perfection, Mercury stationing direct support the progress you desire. So set intentions to achieve your most heartfelt goals. Now’s the time to own your most authentic voice. Embody your power and know that the next few weeks support you to crush your fitness goals with enthusiasm. You got this. You really do!
