How to Decorate Your Home Like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Zen-Chic NYC Apartment
From creating clean beauty products and organic food lines to converting old movie theaters into gyms with her BFF Tracy Anderson, it's easy to feel like you know everything about the actress-turned-lifestyle guru's life.
But one thing that she's never shared before? Her New York City apartment.
Earlier this week, Goop—Paltrow's own good life-promoting website—gave readers a behind-the-scenes look at her palatial TriBeCa apartment. The Zen-chic space is effortlessly styled (shocker, right?), filled to the brim with white, marble, and chrome furniture and accessories. “Gwyneth saw how we could channel this ethereal palette: light delicate whites, palest lavenders, grays, silvers, embroidery details," explains Robin Standefer, principal at Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors (the architecture firm tasked with designing the space).
It turns out the shoot was conveniently timed right when she listed the apartment on the market—sneaky, sneaky—but we're nevertheless impressed. And, yes, envious. (According to the story, the wallpaper was hand-painted and Paltrow has a bed "so enormous that sheets had to be custom-made." Maybe she needed room to practice her pelvic floor exercises?)
And if the star's not-quite-$200 smoothie is any indication, her apartment decor probably clocks in with a hefty price tag. But you can tap into that "ethereal palette" without having to give up your monthly Tracy Anderson membership: We rounded up pieces inspired by the wellness queen's own NYC apartment, all for a fraction of the price.
