The Brilliant Way Jessica Alba Motivates Herself for Morning Workouts
My Morning Routine: Jessica Alba, Founder of The Honest Company and Honest Beauty
If I'm working out in the morning, I'll wake up at 5:30 a.m. using the alarm clock on my phone—if my kids haven't already woken me up! Working out is not my favorite, but it’s stress relief and I get good ideas working up a sweat. I like to to make a morning class before I get to work: Spinning or hot yoga sculpt, always with friends to keep me motivated.
After I get out of bed, I wash my face and put on Honest Beauty's Even Brighter Moisturizer and finish with a spritz of our Elevated Hydration Mist to freshen up.
Once I've worked out and showered, I have a quick, 5-10 minute beauty routine—that’s all the time I have to get ready. For my hair, I usually just spritz on Honest Beauty Honestly Effortless Sea Salt Spray and let my hair air dry. For my face, I use our primer, tinted moisturizer, and concealer. My not-so-secret weapon is Honest Beauty Magic Balm for softening lips, taming flyways, and blurring fine lines. Then I add some brow filler, bronzer, curl my lashes, put on mascara and our lip crayon and go!

Breakfast is usually coffee with almond milk and either avocado toast with gluten-free bread or a coconut water smoothie. I also take time to look at the CNN, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times apps...and BuzzFeed.
Before leaving for work—I'm at the office by 9—I get in some morning snuggles with my girls. This does as much for me as it does for them; it clears my mind and opens my heart. I don't meditate in the morning, but I try to find time at some point during the day. I love the Headspace app for taking a moment when I need it.
Welcome to My Morning Routine, where Jessica Alba and other good-life gurus share their personal (frequently surprising, often healthy) morning rituals—to help you make your a.m.’s more awesome.
This is just the start of Jessica Alba's day—here's how she (and two other girlbosses) spend their first hour at work. As for the other 20 hours? These are the daily rituals that almost every successful woman has in common.
