The Ultra-Energizing Breakfast Karlie Kloss Eats When She Travels
If you follow Karlie Kloss on Instagram (and you do, right?), you know that the supermodel is almost always on the go. Kloss spends weeks at a time on the road—and in the air—which she admits isn't always easy.
But, she says, her years of jet-setting from one runway—or coding class—to the next have taught her a few things about how to stay healthy in transit. One of the keys, Kloss says in a new video on her Klossy YouTube channel, is prioritizing a healthy, high-fat breakfast.
"I love healthy fats in the morning to really get your brain going and give you energy for the day."
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," she says. "Sometimes it's the only meal you actually have control over, so order something good."
Her pick? An egg-white omelet, sliced avocado, tomato, and asparagus. "I love healthy fats in the morning to really get your brain going and give you energy for the day," she says. "And BYO ketchup." (She keeps a mini bottle in her purse!)
Her other pro travel tips are of the "be prepared" variety: packing face masks, compression leggings, and comfy clothes in your carry-on; keeping your blood moving ("even if it's just in your hotel room," Kloss says, mid-mountain climber); drinking water before and during a flight, and always having healthy snacks on hand (her favorites are protein bars, bananas, and almonds).
