Exclusive: Kate Upton Reveals Why She Swears by Low-Impact Workouts to Stay Fit During Her Pregnancy
Upton, who recently became a brand ambassador for Copper Fit to help build its recovery and lifestyle collections, has always made her healthy habits a top priority—wheatgrass shots, included. The only thing that's really changed is simple: She's reimagined and toned down those high-impact workouts. "I think a huge misconception is that you have to overdo it on the cardio in order to get in shape. Instead, I focus on body-weight and light-weight exercises to get tight and toned, and just fit cardio into my daily, everyday life in small ways," she tells Well+Good.

By opting for low-impact moves, Upton has experienced a total shift with her body and her mind. "I fit in cardio throughout my day with things as easy as walking up the stairs or just going outside to take a walk in the fresh air. It makes me feel so much better not only physically, but mentally as well. I feel so much more balanced and calm, which has been a huge help during pregnancy," she says.
Whether Upton's at home or traveling, having a simpler routine helps her stay consistent—both for herself and her little one. And as much as she loves showing up the heavy hitters in the weight room, who knows? Maybe this shift will stick post-baby, too.
Here's the surprising reason Kate Upton swears by colonics. Also, if you're up for a challenge, give Jessica Biel's totally intense booty workout a try.
