When Lululemon Lab opened its doors in New York City earlier this year, it achieved instant cool-older-sister status among the Wunder Under wearers of the city. (Creating sophisticated, limited-edition neoprene pants, shirt dresses, and blazers will do that.)
But while the groundbreaking boutique—which places its design team within the store, right next to the dressing rooms—has kept sweaty-chic New Yorkers with a closet full of stylish options, everyone else has been out of luck. After all, Lululemon Lab can only be purchased in-person, in-store.
That is, until now.
Today the brand is launching a four piece, limited-edition capsule collection in all of the Lab stores (both the New York City and Vancouver locations) and online—allowing shoppers to pick up the items from California to Maine (and everywhere in between).
The collection, dubbed Reflective Splatter, features a luminescent print to keep runners stylishly noticed—and protected—all winter long. (We told you glow-in-the-dark patterns were big right now....)
"I was inspired by training outside in low light in NYC, but wanted to rethink our approach to the medium of reflectivity itself," explains Pascale Gueracague, the brand's director of future textiles (yes, that's a real title). "I liked the idea of figuring out how to texturize reflectivity and evolve it beyond harder lines into something glittering and more feminine. This line was really about synthesizing something super-functional—but also really beautiful—into a single expression."

In other words, time to say goodbye to those zipper pulls and random strips of stiff, shiny fabric.
While this capsule collection currently only features four pieces, from a $98 sports bra to $298 leggings, it may be a sign of future online-accessible pieces to come. "We have so many incredible fans and guests from all over the world and we wanted to give them the opportunity to experience the Lab with this capsule collection," explains Gueracague.
The pieces are available starting today in the NYC and Vancouver Labs, the Flatiron flagship store in New York, and online later today—but you better click quick, before the collection vanishes into the night.

The reflective trend is hot at the studio, too. Check out new patterns that are meant to glow inside. As for what to wear on top? You can never go wrong with a leather jacket.
