How Nike’s Keeping US Athletes Cozy at the 2018 Winter Olympics
The countdown is officially on for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang—one month from today, athletes from all over the world will be going for the gold in South Korea. If you thought it was cold where you are, the high temperatures during the Games, which will take place from February 9–25, are forecasted to be well below freezing. Cool: Slaying your sport and landing on the podium. Not so cool: Being unable to feel your fingers while you hold your medal. Fortunately for US athletes Nike's on team hygge this season and has figured out some pretty chic ways to keep them cozy should you finish in the top three.
Today, the sportswear titan revealed every item in its new Medal Stand collection. It was designed specifically to help top American competitors comfortably withstand the elements while accepting their prizes. (Almost all ceremonies will likely be held in open-air—read: likely frigid arenas.) And all of us everyday athletes can rock every high performance, yet stylish, piece. (They'll hit Nike.com on January 15.) Here's the inside scoop on what the small—but oh-so-cozy—collection includes.

The Summit Jacket System
When you’re big time, you get more than one jacket to keep in that warm and fuzzy feeling. The zip-in, zip-out system has a waterproof shell that blocks out rain and wind—plus, it also has a removable bomber jacket. With knit hand warmers attached to the outer shell's sleeve and a phone pocket (which is actually an American flag), this jacket is ready for max chill.
Team USA Pant
Even the pros don't enjoy the feeling of swimming in baggy snow pants. Made with a durable water repellent coating to protect from the elements and a waist cinch and ankle zip, this bottom is both practical and fashionable.
Gaiter Boot
Any shoe that’s lace-free gets our stamp of approval. This sleek style comes complete with a taller silhouette and heat reflective material to keep toes warm.
Medal Stand Glove
Finishing off the collection, this is the ultimate hand protection. Touch screen compatible, of course (athletes need to take selfies, too!), the gloves also posess a waterproof layer and concealed zipper for easy on-and-off action.
Now that you're workout wardrobe is as badass as an Olympian, add these high-waisted leggings to your winter arsenal. And pair them with a perfect pair of kicks.
