The Rifle Paper Co. Founder Swears by This Always-Sold-Out Product
You know those skin-care and beauty products that you use until the very last drop? The ones that you’ve spent entire brunches/text threads/email chains, telling your friends about? They’re the best of the best…so amazing that you’d never risk putting them in a piece of checked luggage. At Well+Good, we call those our Beauty VIPs (you know, Very Important Products). In this series, we ask women in wellness and the public eye what beauty products they use every single day and why—with an entire Internet of options to choose from—these items stand out.
Call me old-school, but I've always had a thing for cute notebooks. I swear by writing things down, prefer a paperback novel to an e-book any day, and I live by my paper to-do list. So naturally, since I love perusing the stationery sections at boutiques, I've become quite familiar with the work of Anna Bond, and the mood-boosting ethos that the super-chic boss lady and founder of Rifle Paper Co. has created.
Bond's company originated as a side-project creating wedding invitations for friends and escalated very quickly. Once word got out about her beautiful designs, more and more orders started pouring in. Before she knew it, she was building an entire empire of chic paper products—and now beauty products. I caught up with Bond, who recently teamed up with L'Occitane to create a new product collection, at one of my favorite cafes Maman in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood. Here are the products that she can't live without.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream, $110
"I love this product. I use it like every night which is really amazing," Bond says. "It feels like butter, and it’s really nice."
LORAC Front of the Line PRO Liquid Eyeliner, $23
"I wear this eyeliner every day. It’s always sold out at my local Ulta," Bond tells me. "I feel like I’ve tried like a million brands, and that’s my favorite."
Glossier Generation G Lipstick, $18
"I’m not a huge lipstick person, but I always have the Glossier Generation G Lipstick in my bag. I have the jam color," Bond says. "So it’s not totally neutral, but I feel like it’s so easy to put on—even without a mirror. I also feel like it doesn’t rub off in a weird way."
Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist, $32
"I love this product. I usually use it at night, right before bed and I’ll pack it if I’m traveling," she tells me. "I’ll use it after I get to the hotel and just like it feels so refreshing."
Epsom Bath Salts, $10
"I'm obsessed with Epsom salt baths. I put them in a really nice glass jar with a little scooper so it feels fancy," Bond says. "I sit so much, and I illustrate a lot, so those just feel nice."
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick, $46
"I started using this Hourglass foundation. To me, it’s in between a concealer and a foundation, and I always have it in my bag for touching up," she says. "It’s easy. I don’t use it all over, I just use it for spots and touch-ups, and throwing it in my bag."
Another cool boss lady who's got an impressive beauty routine is Coveteur founder, Stephanie Mark. And this is how Julianne Hough keeps her beauty game strong.
