Selena Gomez’s Super-Cool Anklet Design Steals the Show in Her Latest Puma Launch
"It has that chain that makes me feel womanly and makes me feel cool. It gives you a little bit of sparkle, and it can make you feel like you’re dressed up even when you’re in sweats." —Selena Gomez
Gomez designed white kicks that have sleek gold accents with the idea that they can be worn with workout clothes and when you're dressed to the nines. "It has that chain that makes me feel womanly and makes me feel cool," Gomez told Vogue. "It gives you a little bit of sparkle, and it can make you feel like you’re dressed up even when you’re in sweats. I also wear my sneakers with dresses, things that feel pretty." Puma and Gomez also collaborated on windowpane socks ($14) to go with the sneakers, which will look just as cool on the ’gram as they do IRL.
Besides adding a cute, luxe sneaker to your wardrobe, there's another, philanthropic reason to think about hitting that "buy" button: Vogue reported Puma is giving $100,000 of the sales from the collaboration directly to the Lupus Research Alliance, which aims to find a cure for the autoimmune disease—an initiative close to Gomez's heart since she suffers from the condition.
