"It's ok to want to wear a little something to your workout, but when you're that warm and sweaty, you want products that hold up and won't contribute to breakouts," says Merrady Wickes, a makeup artist and beauty director for The Detox Market.
She recently helped me figure out how to get my eyeliner to stay put, and it turns out that's not the only trick she has when it comes to staying power. "Kjaer Weis Lengthening Mascara ($38) has been known to last through a Bikram class," she tells me. "It's seriously a yoga teacher favorite." Wickes says the product, which utilizes carnauba wax, delivers length and separation without making you look done up.
Hungry for more help, I ask her if there's anything else I can apply to my face without looking like a sad clown after class. "It might feel counterintuitive, but a cream bronzer formulated without water will in turn have slightly waterproof qualities," she says. "I love swiping Vapour Bronzing Stick ($36) on cheeks, temples, chin, and lids for a sunny, slightly sculpting effect." For the cheeks, she also prescribes Ere Perez Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint ($26). "It's a super concentrated tint that lasts all day," she says. "The pigment is no joke, so start with less than you think and allow to dry before building for a juicy flush on cheeks and lips."

Being that I came of age in the '90s, Wickes advises filling out my emaciated brows using Kimiko Beauty Super Fine Eyebrow Pencil Automatique ($29) before class while I'm at it. "It's formulated in Japan with a low-oil lead that withstands heat and humidity," she says.
And while it won't impact my look immediately, Wickes additionally recommends layering a sunscreen on as a base ahead of doing anything else. "Suntegrity Impeccable Skin SPF 30 ($55) is silicone and oil-free with just enough coverage and broad spectrum sun protection," she says. "It's also packed with skin-care benefits including peptides and hyaluronic acid so your skin actually gets better the more you use it."
