How to Re-Create Taryn Toomey’s Beachy Hamptons Vibe at Home
The Class is known for being therapeutic and transformative—with its unique pairing of yoga philosophy and boot-camp intensity—so it's only fitting that the new Bridgehampton barn space mirrors that ethos aesthetically. But, regardless of whether your summer-vacay plans include the Hamptons, where the Well+Good Council member says she'll be teaching classes during the season, you can re-create the soothing vibes in your own home sanctuary with a few simple decor upgrades. (But if you do make it to the location, you'll be treated to shoppable goodies from Joanna Vargas, May Lindstrom Skin, MZ Wallace, and a yet-to-be-announced sleepwear brand.)
Toomey says she was extremely involved in designing the Tribeca flagship location of the Class, but this Hamptons studio is the first outpost conceptualized and created entirely in-house.
To achieve the dreamy Hamptons studio vibes, which Toomey describes as, "the warmth of the summer, a feeling meant to be serene, relaxed, and light," incorporate "soft fabrics, cozy nooks, candles, and music, and voilà: home sweet home." She also mentions that scent is essential for setting the right mood. (Her go-to is the super simple and grounding palo santo.)
But that's just the start; check out the essential home-decor pieces to give your Zen den Class-y vibes.
