These Track Pant-Inspired Nails Are the Coolest Beauty Trend From NYFW
It's been a while since track pants and tracksuits have returned to your fashion consciousness. Nowadays, it's not weird (anymore) to see the street style elite rocking the polyester, slightly baggy pants with stripes on the side. The throwback look of yore (hello, Spice Girls) is definitely back.
This trend has only been reaffirmed at this season's New York Fashion Week, where even the front-row attendees have been spotted with track stripes adorning their ensembles.
Seen at Tibi, Kith x Champion, and Monse, the manicures of the runway have been a nod to athletic stripes and athleisure outfits.
And, in a surprising (but super-cool) twist: They were also on models' nails. Seen at Tibi, Kith x Champion, and Monse, the manicures of the runway have been a nod to athletic stripes and athleisure outfits.
Nail artist Alicia Torello tells Coveteur that the look is achieved using a super-skinny brush, called a "striping brush." The secret is to lay your brush down nearly flat as you paint a line down your nail, as opposed to creating it from the brush's tip. It's an easy way to upgrade your mani to go with your tracksuit (or whatever else you're wearing). Sporty Spice would definitely approve.
