How to Tone Your Arms in 3 Minutes, the Tracy Anderson Way
But fitness star (and megabrand) Tracy Anderson seriously disagrees. When it comes to weights, says the trainer, it's endurance—not a pound increase—that's the end goal. (And she's not alone here—scientific studies back up her claim.)
For the second day of her weeklong (Re)New Year program (which, reminder, is all about getting sweaty every single day), Anderson is sharing exclusively with Well+Good readers her tried-and-true arm workout, for which you'll need three pound weights. Not only is it actually fun, but the entire video is just three minutes.
The fun, three-minute workout includes "bursts of cardio to target all of your muscles, while sculpting your full arm and shoulder."
"This workout is all about setting up the foundation for your upcoming dance cardio sequence—to get your head in the game for the best results," she says. Anderson's team recommends 30 reps of each move, but work your way up if it's too challenging.
