You Can Now Get Magnolia Bakery’s Famous Banana Pudding in an Exfoliating Body Wash That’s Extra Sweet on Skin
Anyone who's ever waited in line for a cup of Magnolia Bakery's famous banana pudding knows it's delicious. We're not sure how they do it, but the NYC-based eatery makes a banana dessert so creamy and delectable, you'll want to bathe in the stuff after just one spoonful. Well, now you can.
Earlier this month, Tula joined forces with Magnolia Bakery to whip up a body wash so good, you'll want to eat it. The two combined Tula’s award-winning body exfoliator with the mouth-watering scent of Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding in a limited-edition exfoliator that's positively scrumptious. While I didn’t, ahem, consume the Tula Banana Pudding Cleansing Body Exfoliator ($36) myself, I did shower with it, testing its claims that it would make my skin-care routine even sweeter. The results are mouth-wateringly good.
The sweetest addition to your shower.
What's in it
Tula’s achieved rockstar status with Well+Good editors and devoted shoppers alike thanks to its use of probiotic- and superfood-based formulations. Founded by a gastroenterologist who spent 20 years researching probiotics, the brand believes we should treat our skin regimen with the same care we do for our nutrition.
True to its pudding-y roots, the Tula x Magnolia Bakery body wash is made with bananas, but there's also Tula's powerful, patent-pending S6 Pro Complex™ and three different alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs.)
In English, let’s decode: That S6Pro Complex™ is a mega-blend of six different prebiotics and probiotic extracts formulated to improve skin's smoothness and pH balance. Essentially, it reinforces your skin barrier and keeps ya strong. The AHA mixture (glycolic, malic, and lactic acids) does the exfoliation bit, brightening and evening skin to its freshest self. Finally, a delectable burst of banana and lemon peels assist with the buffing (and smell freaking delicious.)

Why I love it
I’m a gal who tends to stick to the same body wash. It takes a lot for me to want to switch, although I’ve tried my fair share of gels and cleansers. I’m flavor-forward in my choices (I worry much more about my shampoo formulations) in that I know I’ll walk around all day smelling the scent I used.
When I first tried the Tula x Magnolia Bakery, scent was my main concern. What if it was overpowering? I’m naturally a bit hesitant of banana-based scents as we tend to associate them with fake yellow candy rather than literal bananas. Luckily, the scent is light and gentle—not nauseatingly sweet—intensifying the luxurious feel of the ingredients.
The cleanser goes on feeling gritty, like any physical exfoliator, but foams much easily more than I’d expect. That textural combo is truly the best of both worlds, giving you silky layers of lathering (say that three times fast). One shower felt more like a spa experience than my normal, post-gym quick rinse.
While I’ve tried other body washes that feel indulgent, the grit in Tula's banana pudding body wash makes it clear that I’m getting a deep clean. It’s much more penetrating and clarifying than other formulations I’ve tried, and I like knowing that the *refreshed* feeling is a result of all-natural ingredients rather than sketchy chemicals.
Instructions say to use 3-4 times per week, so I’ve used it every other day to be safe. A little bit of product goes a long way, so I’m confident that my bottle will last a while, which is always a go-to calculation for me in considering whether a new product is worth it. My one complaint? Using the scrub makes me kinda hungry. Treat your skin to a dessert it'll want seconds, thirds, even fourths of, and get a bottle of Tula x Magnolia Bakery's Banana Pudding Cleansing Body Exfoliator here.
