This Instagram Account Will Add a Mood-Boosting Dose of Wes Anderson Surrealism to Your Feed
Millennials are stressed. No, like really stressed, which supports my hypothesis as to why, as a generation, we've gravitated toward soothing shades of pink and hygge nights in, filled with an endless stream of Netflix. These two fascinations go hand in hand with the ever-pastel, symmetrical, and happiness-inducing cinematic world of Wes Anderson.
Although the moviemaker's world is not one we currently occupy (though you can get pretty close to it at the calming café he designed in Milan), according to i-D, Instagram user Wally Koval (AKA @accidentallywesanderson) has been chronicling the most surreal and wanderlust-inducing Anderson-esque findings from around the world. His photo archive features more than 200 IRL locales, and all the snaps look like stills from an Anderson flick.
The account also frequently (if not always) provides some context and history of the spots featured, so think of scrolling through the feed as research for your aesthetically driven travel bucket list.
