3 Easy Juice Recipes That Seriously Boost Your Health
She built Suja, along with her three business partners, into a nationwide mega juice brand. And her new book, The Suja Juice Solution, which she wrote with co-founder Jeff Church, teaches you how to create delicious—and "seriously powerful"—juices at home that act as wellness boosters.
The right combo, she says, can help you tackle some common issues, like breakouts or that 4:00 p.m. (or all day) energy slump. (Lawless' own Celiac condition went undiagnosed for years, so she knows a thing or two about self-medicating with juice.)
She shares three recipes from her new book that will help give you energy, balance you and your skin out, and give you a wellness boost when you plug in your juicer. —Molly Gallagher

Spa Kick
When your stomach is feeling unsettled.
"We tend to wake up with an acidic tummy after the body has been in elimination mode throughout the night," says Lawless, "so a nice dose of alkalinity is a wonderful way to help rebalance the body’s pH."
3 medium cucumbers (with skins)
1 cup watercress (loosely packed)
1 inch raw unpeeled ginger root
2 lemons, peeled
Stevia (optional), to taste

Juice* all the ingredients and stir in the stevia if desired.
*If you're using a blender, replace two of the cucumbers with 6 ounces coconut water. Squeeze the lemons by hand and peel and grate the ginger before blending until smooth.
Replenish
A great remedy for low energy. (AKA, you stayed up a little too late catching up on Scandal and eyeballing the coffeemaker. Again.)
"If you need an afternoon pick-me-up or a post-lunch digestive aid, this juice is your guy," Lawless says.
1/4 whole pineapple, peeled and cored
1 inch unpeeled ginger root
1 lime, peeled
1/2 mango, skin and pit removed
8–10 ounces coconut water
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
Juice the pineapple, ginger, and lime, then combine with the mango, coconut water, and turmeric. Blend until smooth.
Life Line
An inflammation-fighter (that's super helpful if you over did it on the dairy or sugar and now you're breaking out like crazy).
"Turmeric is the superstar of this blend because it helps ease inflammation," Lawless says. "Beets are also known for their powerful anti-inflammatory properties and are a great source of iron."
2 carrots
1 apple
1/2 medium raw unpeeled beet
1 medium cucumber (with skin)
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
Juice all the ingredients.
