Indeed, from May to September, stone fruits are in season, meaning the farmer's market will be spilling over with tons and tons of vibrant, aromatic, drip-down-your-chin-level-of-juicy peaches.

So, how can you transform this fruit that tastes like sweet summertime bliss into a quick and easy dessert that checks every box? Well, this easy peach cobbler recipe takes ten minutes to make and can be done using your trusty air fryer for maximum delicious results. Plus, it’s filled with tons of fiber and anti-inflammatory benefits that make eating dessert a no-brainer.

Why this air fryer peach cobbler recipe is so delicious

It seems as though food TikTok trends have been on a nonstop roll since the start of the pandemic. As everyone hunkered down in their homes and mastered the art of banana bread-making, more and more quality (and healthy) internet-famous recipes from cowboy caviar to baked feta pasta have become household staples. So, when air fryer peach cobbler started trending, we knew we had to give it a shot and find out for ourselves if it was worth the hype. Spoiler alert: It hands down is. In a recent video by @nourishedbynic, Nicole Addison, RD, a registered dietitian, shared her four-step method for making peaches in your air fryer in under 10 minutes flat. The recipe calls for just a few household staple ingredients like butter, cinnamon, oats, honey, coconut, and of course, the star of the show, peaches.

As you can see, the air fryer works its Genie-style magic to transform the fresh peaches into a luscious and juicy caramelized fruit; meanwhile, the oats become a crispy crust that adds crunch to every bite.

Of course, aside from its looks, taste, and how easy it is to make, we’re totally down with this dish due to its health benefits that make it the epitome of dessert goals. When you take a closer look at the humble peach, you’ll find that it’s filled with many good-for-you properties that make this dessert RD-approved. For one, peaches are filled with anti-inflammatory properties that help combat free-radical damage in the body. Peaches are also packed with vitamin C, which is (also) good for fighting inflammation, boosting your immune system, and reducing your risk for chronic diseases, Nour Zibdeh, MS, RDN, CLT, an integrative and functional dietitian, previously told Well+Good. "[Plus, the] vitamin A [found in peaches] is important for healthy skin and eyes, reducing inflammation, and boosting the immune system," Zibdeh says. In addition to these key vitamins, peaches are filled with minerals like potassium which helps support bodily functions like lowering blood pressure, regulating blood sugar levels, and balancing fluids in the body, as well as calcium that promotes bone health.

But the benefits don’t stop there. Peaches and oats are both packed with boatloads of fiber and antioxidants that are crucial for good gut health and cardiovascular health. Not to mention the fact that peaches are super hydrating—they're made up of almost 90 percent water. Ready to rumble (er, crumble)? Find the full dessert recipe and instructions below.
