Here’s How To Get a 1-Year Grubhub+ Subscription for Free (Yup, Zero Dollars)
Black Friday and peak holiday season may be a ways away, but the chance to save big on your favorite products and services is much closer than you think, thanks to Amazon. In addition to announcing its Prime Early Access Sale on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, where members can score thousands of discounted goods like the best-selling Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Brush for $27, the retailer is offering the chance to order your favorite meals from Grubhub+ for free.
Yep, that’s right. Prime Members can now score a 1-year Grubhub+ subscription completely free of charge—and no, there's really no catch. With it, you get $0 in delivery fees on orders $12+ and up (that is, before tax, tip and other potential service fees). Additionally, you’ll have access to exclusive rewards and perks at participating restaurants, and the chance to donate your change at checkout. Grubhub will even match every cent you give away.
How to sign up
All you have to do is click on “Activate free Grubhub+" (here) when you sign in to your Prime Account. You’ll then be prompted to answer some questions to create a Grubhub profile if you haven't done so already. After that, just give the Terms and Conditions agreement a glance over and click the option to share your Prime Membership status with Grubhub so you can start saving ASAP. (Please note: This offer will not be accessible for those with a Grubhub+ Student account).
The same process applies to those with a Grubhub+ subscription already. Activate the offer by way of your Amazon Prime account and you should be good to go. The good news is you can cancel your membership at any time. But if you want to hang onto it a little past the one-year mark, the subscription automatically renews at $9.99 per month once the trial period is over.
Now, if you’re wondering if your go-to Italian takeout spot is Grubhub+ eligible, look for a yellow flag with a black GH+ banner. Each participating location will have this stamped on its logo as you scroll through the app or website. You can also filter restaurants using Grubhub’s website to better narrow down the eligible dining options in your neighborhood. It's as simple as that.
