March is supposed to come in like a lion and out like a lamb. But as the month wanes, Leo is on the move and shaking up your astrological houses. Hey, it’s spring cleaning season, right? Whether it’s at the gym or your personal Zen den, astrologer Jennifer Racioppi says it’s all in the name of ushering in a new (and more authentic) reality for yourself. Read on for how the stars are aligning this week to help make that happen.
Monday, March 26
The last week of the month kicks off with the moon traveling in playful Leo, extending the invitation to connect fun. With the weekend in your wake, now’s the time to re-center your focus on your ambition. This past weekend might’ve felt tense, but Monday offers a new beginning. Embrace it. Fuel the fire needed to go after what you want by leaning into what you love. Speaking of fire, with four planets (including the sun) in Aries, prioritize a blood pumping, heart thumping, sweaty workout. Moon in Leo fun fact: Outrageous workout clothes may inspire you to push yourself a bit harder. Dress to slay (even if you’re just going to the gym). Think bright colors—maybe even neon?!
Tuesday, March 27
In the words of world-renowned positive psychology scholar, Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, “not exercising is like taking depressants.” Don’t take depressants. With the moon continuing to travel in fire sign Leo in its waxing gibbous phase, movement heals, so lean into the tried and true benefits of working out. Detox through sweat. Cardio activity bodes well under these aspects. So much so you may even want to try Zoomba! Don’t have time for a workout? Think again. Putting on music and swaying your hips for 10 minutes may be just what the doctor ordered. Taking the stairs when you can and walking counts as movement, too. Seize the opportunity.
Wednesday, March 28
Loving Venus joins revolutionary Uranus today forming an exact conjunction. This transit may feel like fireworks, heralding creative breakthrough and surprise opportunities, so stay on the lookout for new and exciting possibilities. That said, if it’s not meant to be, you may find out it’s time to say goodbye. With Mercury in retrograde while the sun squares Saturn, now’s the time to release unhealthy attachments. Longing for what’s not meant to be yours just creates unnecessary suffering. Surrender. Trust. Stay humble. Don’t hold on too tight. Focus on practicing non-attachment instead.
Thursday, March 29
Today’s not the day to blow through red lights or make illegal U-turns. Instead, lead with conscientiousness and careful adherence to what you know is right. As the sun in Aries squares Saturn in Capricorn, the cosmos humbly ask your ego to step aside. It’s not about being the best; it’s about being true to what feels authentic and enlivening. On the fitness front, slow, conscious movement goes a long way. Prioritize form over speed. Use your core, and remember to breathe. As you train your body, you train your mind. Let the principles of strength training be your guru. Focus.
Friday, March 30
Venus, the planet of love and beauty, moves from Aries into Taurus today, a sign she rules and loves. Allow this movement to invite you to settle into your body. Between now and April 24, Venus in Taurus encourages you to connect with the feminine, to slow down and prioritize your sensuality. Lean into pleasure, self-nurturance, and desires. Sexual exploration offers the potential for healing. Yet in the immediate future, as the full moon vibes build, tension may wax. So stay grounded and connected to yourself. Not because you have to, but because it feels so good. Now’s not the time to abandon yourself. (Newsflash: It never is.)
Saturday, March 31
As the second full moon of the month illuminates the sky (it’s full today at 8:36 a.m. ET), the universe invites you to release that which you no longer need; especially the insecurities that hold you back. Despite being a Libra full moon, a sign that represents balance, your sense of evenness may feel tested as opposed to reinforced. This full moon bodes some intense cosmic vibes; with Mars, the planet of action right next to Saturn squaring the sun and moon, it asks you to anchor into your confidence and trust yourself. Forming an agitating astrological configuration known as a cardinal T-square, this blue moon requires flexibility. If tense emotions come up, let them flow through you; don’t attach to them. Stay in the seat of the observer. Remember, you’re sovereign, and you have a choice. On the positive side, good luck Jupiter makes a positive sextile to powerhouse Pluto indicating strength and power. (Everything happens for a reason.) That said, eating a blood sugar-balanced diet offers the body the nutrients and stability it needs. Breath, bodywork, and yoga—don’t skip the dharma talk, and listen for tips on how to maintain an equanimous mind—go a long way today, too.
Sunday, April 1
Oh Mercury in retrograde, you little rascal. As the sun and Mercury meet up today, you may feel the effects of this retrograde journey a bit more intensely. If so, keep a sense of humor, Mercury, after all, is just a little trickster. So if a conundrum ensues, laugh. With the sun conjoined to Mercury in a manifesting trine with the north node of destiny, a positive outlook opens new doors. Use mantras. Repeat affirmations. Keep focused. Meditation offers you a doorway to staying centered. Remember, self-care Sunday means prioritizing you. Make space to do something special for yourself.
