If you’ve felt like a snake shedding its skin for most of 2018, you’ve got a major boost coming this month, says “RockStar Shaman” Alyson Charles. There’s a new era starting—here’s what you need to know, plus the spirit animal that can help you usher it in.
As we turn the corner to enter the tail end of 2018, can you sense what a trippy, time-warp year this has been? When accessing in to the guidance for this month’s forecast, I was directed to go back to the forecast for January 2018 to reflect, and that process brought huge swells of emotions to my eyes.
January’s forecast revealed that this would be the year of the snake, of shedding our old skin and old patterns to birth a new way of life. And wow, can you take a moment now to really honor yourself for all the evolution (and some total 180s) you’ve courageously experienced this year?
January asked if we were ready to “shed to rise, release to uplift, and liberate to higher energy,” and that work is all paying off now as we enter November. It promises to be a month of much-needed balance after so much change and upheaval—as well as a month of softening, especially in areas where we used to constrict or worry.
Can you sense what a trippy, time-warp year this has been?
Along with the balancing and softening, November is bringing with it a sense of beginning to land again—we’ve been birthing into so much new, getting to know our deepest soul truths and purposes, that coming back into some sense of groundedness, more stability, and clarity could feel like a very welcome relief to you.
The true us—the version of us that was always within and after so much work is finally crystallizing—is like a hologram that is solidifying and finally coming to life here on Earth. Instead of the snake skin shedding, we are now moving into a period of new life force cracking open inside of us, similar to the serpent energy known as Kundalini or Quetzalcoatl (the Aztec deity). This force has energies we’ve never felt before and are wildly supportive of our new paradigms.

Another aspect that is happening simultaneously is the further anchoring of source energies here on Earth, meaning that our ability to connect with visions, guides, messages, and angels—and the ability to feel the mystical components of life—is getting more tangible.
It is all around us. So rather than feeling the need to connect “up” to source energy, it’s right here. And with that, there will be a stronger sense of knowingness and faith.
Previously something unknown, something you were waiting on an answer for maybe, would’ve caused you anxiety or worry. But now, take a moment to feel into it, to see what the situation will reveal to you—and take note if you get a clear sense of knowing that can override the old ways of worry. Really trust that knowingness! Our gifts are getting stronger. It’s time to really heed and live by what they’re trying to express.
Your energetic to-do list for the month
Your main focus this month should be to continue to soften your heart and grow in your compassion, non-judgment, and unconditional love of self and others and to empower your ability to let things get easier, to let yourself be calmer, and trust and relax more.
So many times we can feel an addiction to worry, or an odd sense of comfort from feeling tight and nervous, simply because those feelings have been what you are used to. When you feel a sharpness or instant desire to react, really challenge yourself to find your center, breathe, and begin teaching yourself that things can be easier, softer, and calmer than what they’ve been (that is, if you truly want things to be that way for your life).
Aromatherapy is another powerful aspect for November. Pay extra loving attention to your sense of smell. Better understanding the healing properties that go along with different scents will really bring an added layer of peace and confidence. Try using an essential oil diffuser and experiment with grounding scents like vetiver, uplifting and energizing scents (like lemon, orange, or peppermint), or scents that help you go within (like lavender or cinnamon). Really call lynx in if you want to grow your own healing abilities or want extra energetic medicine activated while you chant, meditate, or have a new or full moon ceremony—focus on your rituals and spiritual practices this month and have lynx at your side!
Overall, this month is one of coming back down to Earth again which will help you manifest and bring into actualization some projects and goals that have been in development. Take advantage of the extra support you have to release back into the arms of the universe and relax more. Remember that the more open and at ease you are, the more you can see yourself and others from a perspective of love, which magnetizes great abundance, peace, and true power into your life.
