Sophie Bress is an arts and culture journalist based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her specific areas of interest include dance, fitness, music, social justice, and the outdoors, though she loves that journalism gives her the freedom to learn about anything. Sophie has written for publications such as Dance Magazine, Fjord Review, and Festival Insider, as well as for Salt Lake City’s ABC affiliate, where she was formerly on staff. She holds a Master’s degree in arts journalism from the University of Southern California, where she focused on telling the stories of dancers interweaving performance with social justice. In her free time, Sophie loves to be outside: taking a hike, skiing, or just relaxing in her hammock with a good book.
