This Stretchy, Fuzzy Blanket Is the Ultimate Barefoot Dreams Dupe—And for a *Sixth* of the Cost
Winter is all about being comfy and cozy—it’s something that people everywhere strive to be. That’s why celebrities and everyday folks frequently take to social media to share their very favorite loungewear sets, slippers, shearling boots, and blankets. Today, we’re here to talk about the latter. By now, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Barefoot Dreams—the brand behind the fan-favorite, celebrity-revered CozyChic Throw that’s soft, fluffy, and the slightest bit stretchy so that you can easily wrap your body in it, despite it only being 54” x 72”.

That’s why when I came across the Cupcakes & Cashmere Knit Leopard Patterned Throw on one of my many, many trips to HomeGoods, I was nothing short of enamored.
The Cupcakes & Cashmere Knit Leopard Patterned Throw measures 50” x 60” and, like the CozyChic Throw, is made of 100 percent polyester microfiber. It’s soft, stretchy, fluffy, and a downright dream to snuggle up in. I can attest to this, because, after buying one when I first saw it back in 2020, I have since purchased two more—another leopard one (because my dog Cash, adorable as he is, chose to suckle and chew holes in my first one, thus dubbing it his), as well as a holiday version that I found late last year.
That’s the beauty of the Cupcakes & Cashmere Knit Leopard Patterned Throw: It’s sold in a bunch of different colors and prints that go beyond the rather neutral ones Barefoot Dreams sells, and all of them are reversible, showcasing inverse colors of the same print. Though, it all comes down to luck in the store, as only the leopard one is sold online it seems. That said, I’ve seen skull versions around Halloween, deer-print options throughout the year, and the aforementioned holiday one (which is red and white and says "Fa La La La La" on it with snowflakes).
Now here’s the best part: It’s only $25. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s an absolute steal. And it even washes nicely, maintaining its fluffy allure after a spin in the wash and dryer (something that I’ve found my Barefoot Dreams Throw to not hold up as well with). See, that’s the thing: I own both the original Cozy Chic Throw and the Cupcakes & Cashmere Knit Leopard Patterned Throw and, I kid you not, I reach for the latter every single time.
