As an in-demand fitness trainer with a cult following that numbers more than 9 million on Instagram alone, Kayla Itsines spends a good amount of time globetrotting to teach her HIIT workouts to the sweaty masses. And, because a one-way trip from her home in Australia to the US requires a 30-hour plane ride (gulp), she relies on a few healthy hacks to make sure she hits the ground running—or rather, burpee-ing—post flight.
At a boot camp for Westfield World Trade Center’s Beauty&Balance month, she shared her number one product for keeping her lips from cracking from the dehydrating air conditions in cabin: Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Skin Cream Protectant. “It fixes chapped lips straight away,” Itsines swears, adding that she also rubs this stuff just about anywhere to give her skin some extra TLC.
Itsines relies on a few healthy hacks to make sure she hits the ground running—or rather, burpee-ing—post flight.
And how about for fighting that stale, dry, in-flight air? The trainer relies on sesame nasal spray to clear out her sinuses. “You spray it up your nose, and it coats the inside so you don’t feel that ‘ugh, everything is sinus-y and everything’s clogging up’ feeling,” she explains.
