Sarah Levey—founder of buzzy hot yoga studio Y7—basically sweats for a living. So when she endorses beauty products that keep her skin glowing in and out of 90 degree flows, you’re going to want to follow her lead. “It’s hard because I’m in the studio so much and taking classes so often that I’ve found that when I was putting lots of makeup on my face, it was just messing with my skin,” she says.
Instead, this yogini decided to focus more attention to her skin-care routine for a low-maintenance, no-makeup look (a la Xtina, Zendaya, and Tyra). Now, she can move from class to class without, you know, melting off a full face of foundation and highlighter, while still staying glowy. And sure, the sweat helps in this department, but when the last savasana is said and done for the day, here are the products that keep that glow on lock.
Keep reading for the gym heroes that Levey relies on.
Kypris Natural Antioxidant Dew Facial Serum, $72
“It does everything an oil would do for you, but without being super oily. I run oily anyways, so my skin can’t handle that,” she says. “I put it on after I wash my face and before I put my makeup on. It’s great with no makeup too, because it gives you a nice, hydrating boost.”
Kosas Cosmetics Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo, $34
“It’s a cream blush and highlighter duo, and it’s really subtle,” she shares. “It’s a new purchase for me, but I wear it every single day.”
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, $17
“I’ve used this forever and ever. It’s the best spot treatment. It just dries out everything and is amazing,” Levey tells me. “I use it for a really quick spot treatment, if I have a really bad pimple that’s flaring up before I go out, or overnight.”
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46, $25
“[I put this on] every morning before makeup goes on, and it’s a 46 SPF,” Levey shares. “It’s amazing, light, and something my dermatologist recommended to me.”
If you’re going to hit a hot yoga class (like Y7), this is *exactly* the mat you’ll need. Plus, how to not fall on your face in crow pose.
